Gmail finally brings Background App Refresh to iOS in update (i.e it got a LOT better)

In an app update, Google FINALLY added Background App Refresh to Gmail, making it a hell of an update. This means when you open the app, your latest mails are there, waiting for you. SO, no more manual syncing.

But for that you need to have Background App Refresh turned on , else it won’t work. You also got to be on iOS 7. That feature sucks a lot of battery, but it seems to be worth the trade off.

Google says: “The app now fully supports background app refresh, which means your Gmail messages will be pre-fetched and synced so they’re right there when you open the app”

It also brings in another key feature: The ability to sign into all Google apps at once. Before, you had to sign in into every app individually, which was quite tedious (But that feature had almost always existed for

The new update is quite big and increases usability and ease of use dramatically
