LG may unveil the G3 at an event on May 27

With major smartphone makers such as Sony, Samsung and HTC having showcased their flagships, it is now time for LG to get in on the fun.

LG has sent out invitations for an event on May 27, where we may (Most likely) see the launch of its next flagship, the G3, which will be the successor of LG’s current flagship. the LG G2.

The launch event will be held in New York, London and San Francisco on May 27, with launch events in Istanbul, Singapore and Seoul taking place the next day, i.e May 28.

it may also feature an appearance of LG’s smartwatch, the G Watch, which is one of the first smartwatches to run Android Wear, Google’s software platform optimized and redesigned for wearables.

As usual, the rumor mill is bubbling with rumors about LG’s next smartphone, with the chief being that the LG G3 may have a QHD (2560*1800) pixels screen, 3GB RAM and a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. Having a QHD display on a smartphone offers no visible improvements compared to a Full HD display of the same size, but it does matter for you know, bragging rights. All these components will be packed into a dust and water resistant shell.

LG phones, while being great, still are behind in sales compared to the other biggies in the smartphone market. LG is hoping that this time, the tables will turn with its LG G3.
