Microsoft regards the Xbox One as an all-in-one Media Hub. It wants the Xbox One to be the center of your Media Setup. It even has HDMI In Ports to push in Media to it. That means that you could also connect the PS4’s HDMI Out to the Xbox One’s HDMI In, making one awkward combination.
Microsoft keeping the Xbox One’s Media Focus in Mind has unveiled a Digital TV Tuner for the Xbox One in Europe. It plugs into the USB Port, and currently Microsoft only supports Pausing, not Recording Live TV.
It is also compatible with the DVB-T, DVB-T2, and DVB-C television standards. It supports Snap Mode, and as the Tuner plugs into the USB Port, you don’t have to fiddle around with the Inputs every time you want to watch some Footie while taking a Break. You will receive notifications even while you are Watching TV.
And if you have a Kinect, you can also control the whole setup by Voice.
The Xbox One TV Tuner will launch in the UK in late-October for ₤24.99, and will launch in other European Countries for €29.99.
