The latest Design trend in the Smartphone Industry is that of smaller bezels: It looks pretty Cool, and makes devices even more portable.
The LG G3 has one of the thinnest bezels we have ever seen. Sharp has announced a New Smartphone, called the Aquos Crystal, and it is looking to usurp the G3’s Bezel Throne with a bezel-free Design (Almost).
Usually, thinner Bezels mean more accidental touches, and more chances of the screen shattering when you drop the Device. We hope that Sharp has found ways around this, else that impressive Design comes at the expense of Durability.
While the Phone may look premium on the Outside, on the Inside we have Mediocre Components, with a Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 Processor and 1.5GB RAM. It has a 5 Inch 720p HD Screen, and has 8GB of Built in Storage expandable to upto 128GB. Powering it all would be a 2040mAh Battery.
On the Software side, it will come loaded with Android 4.4.2. If you want a more Beefy Device, then the Premium Aquos Crystal X is there for you, with a 1080p Screen and a Snapdragon 801 Quad-Core Processor.
Both of these Smartphones have the Audio Side covered by Harmon Kardon.
Only the Aquos Crystal will be able to reach US Shores (August 29th), while its Premium Variant, the Aquos Crystal X will be sold exclusively in Japan. What are your Thoughts on the Aquos Crystal’s almost non-existen Bezels?
