Things haven’t been looking so good at Nintendo. The king of the Video-Game Market finds its Markets encroached by Mobile Devices such as the iPhone, and Consumers are preferring the next-generation Consoles instead of the Company’s Wii U.
The Wii U is a disappointing Console, if you go by the Sales. Though Sales have picked up a bit due to some interesting new Games, this is just a short-lived gain. For the long-term, Nintendo needs something else to focus on.
Shigeru Mayamoto, the creator of the ever-popular Mario, has revealed in an Associated Press Interview that Nintendo was indeed working on a new Console.
“For the time being, our focus is on the Wii U hardware, but Nintendo as a whole has groups working on ideas for new hardware systems.”, said Shigeru.
It will be accompanied with the possible reincarnation of the Mario Character, who Shigeru says could “take on a new role in a new game.”. It won’t be unveiled in some years, though. It is still in development, and Nintendo is still going to be focused on the Wii U for the time-being.
What do you think? Will Nintendo’s next Console be able to pump some life back into the aging Company?
