Samsung announces the A7: A Metal-Bodied Octa-Core Monster, but is affordable

Innovation in the Smartphone Market has pretty much stagnated, and the only differentiator between smartphones is Design. This is why over the last few years Samsung has been criticized for using cheap Materials such as Plastic and faux-Leather in its Smartphones while competitors are progressing towards premium Materials.

This has caused it to loosen its grip over the Android Market, which is why it launched the premium Galaxy Alpha last year.   Now it is following up with the Galaxy A7, which too is made out of metal.

It has a 5.5 Inch Screen, though only a 720p Resolution. Underneath is a mid-range  64 Bit octa-core Processor along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of Storage.

On the back is a 13MP Camera, and on the front is a 5MP Camera. along with the ability to take wide selfies. Powering it all is a 2600mAH Battery.

Price and availability have not been announced. What do you think? Is Samsung’s design push worth it?
