Smartwatches are getting better and better, and not only in terms of function, and also in terms of looks, because Watches are meant to be worn and flaunted on your wrist, and that’s why Smartwatches are supposed to look good.
Apple Watch, with its multitude of designs appealed to the richer sections of the Market, and now Android Wear has its equivalent, because Tag Heuer has announced its partnership with Google and Intel for a luxury Android Wear Smartwatch.
Google will take care of the software, Intel will take care of the innards and Tag Heuer will take care of the design, the branding and the exorbitant price.
We don’t know any other details about this Smartwatch at the moment, but rumors are that it is mechanical, and if so, it would be a true marvel of engineering to see both the innards of a Smartwatch packed in with the innards of a Mechanical Watch in a small area the size of a Watchface.
What do you think? Is Android Wear ready for luxury Smartwatches, and is Tag Heuer’s move simply to give itself a fighting chance against future Smartwatches?
