Microsoft is in the middle of a transition towards a company that is less focused on its desktop business, and is currently looking at other avenues, like cloud computing and multi-platform apps.
However, we expected it to pull out of the mobile business, and these expectations became even stronger when it laid off 7800 employees in this division. But Evleaks, a prolific leaker, indicates that this is not so, and that Microsoft is actually working on siz new Lumia handsets.
We don’t know any further details about these phones, however, except that one of them has a front-facing flash. Now the Windows Phone line of smartphones has long gone without a flagship, but 2015 may be the year that Microsoft releases the next Windows Phone flagship, along with various other phones, coinciding with the launch of Windows 10.
What do you think? Will this be the year that the dark horse finally comes out of the shadows?
