HTC won’t be shipping the Grip: Would move straight to the second iteration

HTC Grip won't be shipping after all

The wearables market is in a state of rapid growth, but it isn’t smartwatches that are fueling the demand. It is the fitness trackers that are flying off the shelves, and HTC apparently wanted a piece of that when it showed its curved screen toting fitness tracker called the Grip at MWC.

The Grip also  packed in GPS, which is a rare feature when it comes to fitness trackers. It was supposed to ship in July, but now HTC says that the Grip won’t be shipped right now as HTC is working out a few niggles and improving it, meaning that we may see such a wearable towards the end of 2015.

What do you think? Can HTC grab a share of the wearables market, or would be forced into the shadows like it was in the Smartphone Market?
