We seem to have improved in every way from the phones of yore, except in battery life. While the old phones with their monochrome displays would last weeks on a single charge (with conservative use), today’s power guzzling smartphones hardly last through a full day of use.
Now while you could surely develop new battery technologies, they take years to hit the market. Sometimes you can just pack in a humongous battery and hope for the best.
And that’s exactly what Onkitel has done with its latest smartphone, the K10000, which has a 10000mAh battery. The battery is just about the only remarkable aspect about this phone, with it having outdated specs.
It has a quad-core Mediatek processor clocked at 1Ghz, but those four cores are not very powerful, and won’t even be able to match the performance of a mid-range dual-core processor. It has a 5inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage (expandable) and a 8MP/2MP pair of cameras.
It is available for preorder, and costs $240. What do you think? Fancy a phone that can last days?
