Twitter has over 300 million users, but hasn’t managed to please investors, because its growth rate has stalled and its existing users aren’t very active. It hasn’t figured out a way to monetize its userbas effectively.
With Twitter being backed into a wall, it has no choice but to reduce support on things that are not essential and focus on improving its core USP.
This is why Twitter has announced that Tweetdeck for Windows, a power-user Twitter application, will be shut-down by April 15. Tweetdeck isn’t dead yet, since its website would continue to work. Earlier, Tweetdeck for Android and iOS was scrapped.
