The Google Search Engine has evolved a lot over the past few years. Yes, it is still the same basic design with the same paginated display of results, but it has steadily added new features.
Not only has it gotten smarter at ranking the websites themselves to get you more relevant results, Google has actually started using the data it collects to get you the right information at the right time. You no longer need to browse a weather site, because Google scrapes the data and offers it in the search itself. Google’s Knowledge Graph has answers to pretty much any query, and that too in a neatly formatted way.
You don’t need to open the calculator app, because just searching gets you access to a pretty decent calculator.
Google is now adding a new feature to the seach results: Games. If you search Tic Tac Toe or Solitaire, you can start playing right from the search results. The games themselves are pretty fleshed out, with difficulty levels and more.
