Screenshots of Windows 9 leaks: Yes, the Start Menu is Back

Windows 8 was a big flop, and some critics even went as far as to say that it is the next Vista. It removed the Start Menu, it alienated its PC Users, focused on Touch and skimped out there also. In all manners, Windows 8 was incomplete.

Toshiba announces the Encore Mini: At $120, it is the cheapest device running Full Windows

With the onslaught of Tablets and Chromebooks, the sales of Notebooks declined greatly, and this also meant a big decrease in Microsoft’s Revenues. Microsoft had earlier promised that it would partner with certain OEMs to creat ultra-cheap devices that run the full version of Windows 8, not that shitty Windows RT Crap.

Toshiba has announced the Encore Mini, and it seems to be the first of those devices. Sure the specs aren’t great, with a 7 Inch 1024×600 Display, a 1.2 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Atom Z3570G Processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of Storage(Expandable to 128GB via MicroSD), but what matters is its Price: At $120, it offers the cheapest point of entry to Windows 8.

Even if it is a bit on the slow side, at $120 this thing offers extreme value-for-money. So what if it isn’t Android, it runs full Windows Apps!

We are excited about low-cost Windows Devices. We are a bit worried about performance, though.

What do you think of Microsoft’s Push into the low-end Market?
